Job Description

Swoon is hiring a Video Producer/Writer/Editor to create training and storytelling content supporting airport operations at a Fortune 500 company. Your work will help employees learn operational procedures, navigate onboarding, and understand safety expectations through clear, engaging video. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys owning the full production process. You’ll plan shoots, operate cameras, shape stories, and deliver polished edits while collaborating with a small multimedia team.

Location: Chicago, IL | Hybrid (downtown)

Onsite Schedule: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and the first and third Thursday of each month

Duration: 3-month contract to start (potential to extend and/or convert but isn’t a guarantee)

Travel: Approximately 25% domestic travel, typically five to eight days per month, including overnight stays and occasional short-notice trips

What You’ll Do

• Own video projects from pre-production planning and logistics through filming, editing, and final delivery.
• Develop story ideas, scripts, and storyboards that translate operational information into effective training content.
• Coordinate talent, crews, schedules, and location logistics for shoots at airports across the network.
• Film footage that accurately captures approved scripts, storyboards, and operational procedures.
• Edit training, onboarding, safety, and storytelling videos, including projects with compressed turnaround times.
• Maintain corporate branding and pay close attention to uniforms, policies, procedures, and other details that affect footage accuracy and usability.
• Collaborate with media designers, production teammates, and stakeholders while supporting other team projects.
• Adapt to shifting production priorities and travel needs.
