This is a leadership position responsible for overseeing survey projects, managing technical staff, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring successful project delivery from proposal through final completion.This role is ideal for a land surveying professional who combines strong technical expertise with project management and leadership experience.What You'll Be DoingProject ManagementManage multiple land surveying projects simultaneouslyDevelop project schedules, budgets, and resource plansMonitor project progress, profitability, and deliverablesEnsure projects are completed on time and within budgetCoordinate project transitions between departments and field teamsTeam LeadershipLead Survey Coordinators, CAD Technicians, Surveyors, and Field PersonnelAllocate workload and resources effectivelyMentor and develop team membersEstablish performance expectations and provide ongoing feedbackPromote a culture of accountability, safety, and qualityClient ManagementServe as the primary point of contact for clientsMaintain and strengthen existing client relationshipsAssist with business development and client growth initiativesPrepare proposals, scopes of work, and fee estimatesParticipate in professional organizations and industry eventsTechnical OversightReview survey deliverables, reports, plats, and mapping productsEnsure quality control and compliance standards are metInterpret legal descriptions, boundary information, and survey recordsSupport field and office teams with technical guidanceConduct occasional QA/QC site visits as neededQualificationsRequired ExperienceExtensive land surveying experiencePrevious project management experience within surveyingExperience managing project budgets, schedules, and client relationshipsStrong leadership and team management backgroundAbility to oversee multiple projects simultaneouslyTechnical RequirementsCivil 3DAutoCADMicroStationTrimble equipment and softwareLeica equipment experience is a plusStrong understanding of boundary, ALTA, topographic, utility, and land development surveysLicensingFlorida Professional Surveyor & Mapper (PSM) License preferredCandidates pursuing Florida licensure will also be consideredPlease Note: Candidates whose backgrounds are primarily construction staking or construction surveying without broader land surveying experience may not be the ideal fit.Compensation & BenefitsBase Salary$95,000 - $150,000+ (Based on experience, project management background, and licensure)Bonus ProgramTypical annual bonus ranges from 10% to 20%Strong performers have the potential for significantly higher earnings based on office and project performanceBenefitsMedical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision Insurance401(k) with Company MatchPaid Time OffPaid HolidaysContinuing Education SupportProfessional Licensing AssistanceCareer Advancement OpportunitiesRelocation Assistance AvailableWork EnvironmentPrimarily office-based roleLimited field travel for project oversight and QA/QC activitiesTypical schedule:7:00 AM - 4:00 PMor 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMAverage workweek of approximately 45 hoursThis is a fully onsite position.
