JOB DESCRIPTIONGENERAL EDUCATION TEACHERJob Purpose:To plan organize and implement a high-quality instructional program in a secondary learningenvironment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic -Based Qualifications: Bachelors degree from an accredited institution; and California Teaching Credential in designated content area; and Minimum of 1 years of experience in teaching; and CPR CertificationKnowledge Skills Ability: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able toperform each essential duty satisfactorily. Demonstrate knowledge of subject matter/course content and resources relevant toassignment meet professional teacher education requirements of school/district and Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate with internal and external personnel for the purpose of implementingand/or maintaining instructional programs and services. Instruct students in blended learning environments using the Gradual Release ofResponsibility framework and evidence-based instruction strategies. Plan prepare and deliver high-quality instruction in an individual small/wholegroup or co-teaching setting. Monitor students academic progress and provide appropriate feedback on work. Implement accommodations and modifications in collaboration with the educationalspecialist and support staff. Conduct formative and summative assessments of students. Design and administer competency-based assessments that are consistent withdepartment and school procedures. Implement competency-based grading system consistent with HSHMC policies andagreements. Collaborate with administrators general educators educational specialists andsupport staff. Engage in data focused conversations based on research-based best practices in aneffort to improve teaching and learning. Attend and provide input in IEP and planning meetings. Utilize instructional technologies in a blended learning format to facilitate studentachievement. Communicate with families and parents to discuss academic progress when there areconcerns and celebrations. Establish and implement classroom norms and classroom management strategies thatalign with the school culture. Design class structure including curriculum classroom management policiesphysical design and selection of print and digital materials. Maintain accurate and complete records of students attendance progress anddevelopment. Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws districtpolicies and school regulations. Maintain a coaching relationship with assigned academic coach. Provide supervision of students during lunch and passing periods. Attend restorative conferences as functions of the job include but are not limited to the following Demonstrate preparation and skill in working with students from diverse culturaleconomic and ability backgrounds Encourage parent and community involvement obtain information for parents whenrequested promptly return phone calls and answer emails. Participate in appropriate professional learning activities. Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities sporting activitiesclubs and student organizations as directed. Other duties as Conditions (Physical Requirements and Environment):Regularly required to sit stand walk talk hear operate a computer hand-held learning devicesand other office equipment reach with hands and arms and must occasionally lift and/or :Pay range $65000-$82000. Salary is determined based on experience and education. 186 daycontract.
